This manipulate allows students and teachers to create simple equations and visualize how they are solved. Both visual and numerical help is provided to show that equations can be solved for x through addition and subtraction. By moving the "solver" bar, one can watch as the red and blue disks representing the numbers are taken away one by one, leaving only the answer in the end.
